SCOREBOARD

The recent International Rules games played in Melbourne and Adelaide have shown that the public has an interest in IR far greater than anyone imagined.
This is a new sport that has captured the imagination of communities in Australia and Ireland.
Why a World Cup?
The AFL and GAA currently have a 4 year agreement which sees the last games of that schedule being played in Australia in 2001. It is planned for the USA to be included into any future series. There are naturally 4 major International Rules markets... Australia, through Aussie Rules, Ireland, through Gaelic and both New York and London have teams in the Irish competition and thus have a significant Gaelic exposure, and naturally form the basis of a strong, spectacular international competition.
